Performing Arts Magnet

Bancroft Performing Arts Magnet is a Magnet Center located in the heart of  the Hollywood Media District. The center was established in 1981 due to the school's proximity to the media industry and the interest of the faculty, students, and parents in the community to develop a comprehensive Performing Arts Program. Students of diverse ethnicities gather together and broaden their experiences in the arts. The program is designed to give each student experiences in creating performances and presentations, and in responding and connecting to content through the arts. Students do not need to be eligible for the LAUSD Gifted/Talented Program to apply to this magnet program.
